With the new 2018 TCL 6-Series Roku TV now available and more 2018 TCL models being released, it’s time to watch for sales on the TCL Roku TV. TCL TVs are great Smart TVs. Great performance. Great pictures. Integrated Roku TV. Affordable. But TCL Roku TVs are even better when they are on sale!

Watch For Sales on the TCL Roku TV

The 2018 TCL 6-Series is the successor to TCL’s P6-Series 2017 model TCL 55P607. The new 2018 6-Series models are the 55″ TCL 55R617 and the 65″ TCL 65R617.

When new TV models come out, the old models must go!

Of course, since the new 2018 TCL 6-Series is already out, the first TCL Roku TVs to be discontinued and discounted will be the 2017 P6-Series TCL 55P607. But you may have to look around for a deal on this model, as even Amazon.com is already sold out. The Best Buy exclusive TCL 55P605 is a P6-Series model, but it does not include a headphone jack in the Roku remote control. If a headphone jack in the remote control is not important to you, Best Buy may be a good option to look for the 2017 TCL P6-Series on sale.

But… TCL is releasing more 2018 TV models.

For example, TCL is starting to roll out the NEW 2018 TCL 5-Series TVs. The 2018 5-Series models are TCL 65S517 (65″), TCL 55S517 (55″), TCL 49S517 (49″), and TCL 43S517 (43″).

With the release of these new 2018 TCL 5-Series TVs, look for discounts on other premium 2017 TCL Roku TVs such as the 2017 TCL C-Series. The C-Series models include the 55″ TCL 55C807 (2017), 65″ TCL 65C807 (2017), and 75″ TCL 75C807 (2017).

As more 2018 TCL Roku TV models are introduced, the older 2017 models will be phased out, and probably at discounted prices.

Contrast Control Zones

One of the biggest improvements of the new 2018 TCL 6-series TV model over the 2017 model is the Contrast Control Zones. These zones are how LCD TVs control light and dark areas on the TV. The more zones – The more control. Better Darks. Better Lights. A Better Picture.

The 2017 P6-Series TVs had 72 Contrast Control Zones for the 55″ TV.

The new 2018 TCL 6-Series TVs have 96 zones for the 55″ TV and 120 zones for the 65″ TV.

iPQ Engine

TCL adds the new iPQ Engine video processor to the 2018 TCL 6-Series. The iPQ Engine is designed to improve color accuracy over the 2017 P6-Series.

Bold Brushed Metal Design

The new TCL 2018 6-Series Roku TV has a new look.

Instead of the same old boring shiny black bevel, TCL stepped up their game for the 2018 6-Series with a “Bold Brushed Metal” bezel.

The bezel looks amazing. Sleek. Modern. Thin. Clean.

An automatic hit.

Bigger Size – 65 Inches

The old 2017 TCL P6-Series only came in one model size – 55 inches (TCL Model 55P607).

The new 2018 TCL 6-Series can now be ordered in 55″ (55R617) and 65″ (65617).  

2017 TCL C-Series vs 2018 TCL 6-Series

The 2017 C-Series is similar to the 2018 6-Series, as well as the 2017 P6-Series. These are all premium TVs.

Contrast Control Zones

The TCL C-Series is a premium HDR television that uses advanced color technology to create a TV picture with bright colors and dark tones. The 2017 C-Series controls lights and darks with Dynamic Contrast rather than Contrast Control Zones. The 2017 P6-Series and the 2018 6-Series both use Contrast Control Zones. TCL’s Dynamic Contrast was TCL’s very best performing lights and darks control feature, and designed to be better than the 2017 P6-Series Contrast Control Zones.

The increase in the number of Contrast Control Zones in the new 2018 TCL 6-Series TVs will likely close the gap between any noticeable difference between the 2018 TCL 6-Series and last year’s 2017 C-Series.

The C is for Contemporary Design

The C-Series has a slim, sleek, and contemporary design. The look of the C-Series is somewhat similar to the new 2018 6-Series.

Bigger Size – 75 Inches

The C-Series 75” 4K HDR Roku TV (Model 75C807) is 75 inches and is the largest Roku TV.

It’s not clear yet what TCL plans to do with the 2017 C-Series. Or if TCL will continue to manufacturer a 75″ TV.
