TiVo Releases Update 20.7.2 RC24

On August 22, 2017, TiVo releases update 20.7.2 RC24.

When the TiVo Bolt (Series 6) was released, it had a new and more modern look that included new colors and graphics. The new Bolt user interface included a reorganization of the TiVo Central Menu and easier access for managing Video Apps such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Yahoo, etc.

Now, the same Bolt user interface is available for the TiVo Roamio, Premiere, Mini, and Mini 2. This release provides a more consistent user experience across the supported TiVo lineup. You will certainly notice the bolder colors and new graphics.

TiVo Icon Changes

Be sure to notice the new white TiVo icon! TiVo has removed the multi-color “TiVo” on black “TiVo man”! TiVo has replaced their old logo with their new solid white “TiVo man” logo.

TiVo Next Generation User Interface – Hydra

TiVo’s Next Generation User Interface is called “Hydra” and is targeted for the TiVo Bolt, TiVo Roamio, and TiVo Mini models. TiVo’s current plan is to release this new user interface in late 2017.

The new user interface looks fascinating, feature rich, and modern with a focus on images. However, if you prefer the well-received traditional TiVo interface that seems to stand the test of time, the rumors are that you will still be able to use that traditional TiVo user interface.
