The US Library of Congress selected Memento to be “culturally, historically or aesthetically significant” by the US Library of Congress in 2017. Memento was preservation in the National Film Registry

Memento stars Guy Pearce, Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix), and Joe Pantoliano.

Memento was written and directed by Christopher Nolan (screenplay) and Jonathan Nolan (short story “Memento Mori”). Christopher Nolan later went on to direct the Batman “Dark Knight Trilogy” – Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises.
