Amazon announces a new Fire TV with 4K Ultra HD and Alexa voice remote.
The Fire TV is a streaming media player that supports 4K Ultra HD (UHD) and includes an Alexa voice controlled remote control. The new Fire TV and will be available on October 25th.

Fire TV Supported Features
The new Fire TV supports the following features:
- 4K Ultra HD and HDR support
- HDMI Output
- Micro USB for power
- Apps – Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, HBO, SHOWTIME, NBC, and more; Plus, access websites such as YouTube, Facebook, and Reddit with the Silk and Firefox browsers
- Alexa Voice Remote or pair Fire TV with an Echo device for hands-free content control
- Amazon Channels
- 802.11ac Wi-Fi (Or purchase optional Amazon Ethernet Adapter)
These features will ONLY be available in Apps that take advantage of these features:
- Picture in Picture (PiP) – Change settings or searching for other videos with the video picture in the corner (NEW)
- Content Recording – Similar to a DVR (NEW)
- Time-shifting – Pause, rewind, or fast-forward live content (NEW)
