CBS All Access Has 2.5 Million Subscribers
CBS All Access subscriber numbers have continuously climbed since their launch in 2014. In 2015, CBS All Access only had 100,000 subscribers. Now, CBS All Access has 2.5 Million subscribers. And CBS All Access got those subscribers on their own, as a stand-alone streaming channel.
CBS All Access Has 2.5 Million Subscribers.
CBS All Access was launched in October 2014. CBS took a different path than other broadcast networks like ABC, NBC, and FOX. CBS took their own road. ABC, NBC, and FOX all allowed HULU and Netflix to stream their shows. CBS did not. Instead, CBS built its own streaming platform called CBS All Access.
It looks like that vision is starting to pay off for CBS.
Subscriber growth has steadily increased for CBS All Access. But subscriber growth really seemed to take off when CBS All Access started to release original content that was only available through a CBS All Access subscription. The first CBS All Access original TV series was The Good Fight and was released on February 19, 2017. And Star Trek: Discovery was their next original TV series, released on September 24, 2017.
