Amazon Announces TV Series: The Lord of the Rings based on the novels by J.R.R. Tolkien.
Amazon has committed to creating an Amazon Studios Original TV Series based on the imagination of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings. The original series will take place over multiple seasons and will explore “new storylines” that precede J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Fellowship of the Ring. The deal even “includes a potential spin-off series as well.”
We will have to see what “new storylines” might be imagined and created. It will be exciting to see what Amazon Studios creates in this exciting collaboration with the Tolkien Estate and Trust.
The new Amazon Original TV Series The Lord of the Rings will be available to Amazon Prime members on Amazon Video.
